It was a moment of courage, stepping into the unknown and embracing change – a moment that led me down a new path where the possibilities were limitless.
For over 15 years, my life revolved around the automotive industry. I poured my heart and soul into working at prestigious dealerships, delivering top-notch service to customers. Later, my husband, Solomon, and I took a leap of faith and co-owned an auto collision repair center. The journey of building our business from the ground up was both rewarding and challenging, and we nurtured it with endless dedication to make it thrive.
However, life has a way of presenting us with unexpected twists. As time passed, the collision repair industry became increasingly demanding and stressful. The constant stress of working with insurance companies clashed with our commitment to providing the best service possible.
The weight of these challenges began to take a toll on us. After much contemplation and soul-searching, we knew it was time to let go. Selling our business felt like parting with a piece of ourselves. We had grown strong ties in the community and worried about how those would change.
We thought opening a gym would be a great way to continue our entrepreneurial endeavors. We hoped this new chapter would bring joy and success, but it presented its own set of difficulties. The competition was fierce, making it a constant struggle to maintain momentum. On top of that, we simply weren’t passionate about it.
During COVID-19, the gym industry, like many others, faced unprecedented challenges. In the face of this adversity, we made the bold decision to close down the gym. It was a moment of reflection and realization that change was inevitable – a realization that would lead me to real estate.
Even before the pandemic, I had long admired the world of real estate. The success stories of real estate agents I knew, coupled with my natural inclination for connecting with people, ignited a spark within me. I'd always been a people person, thriving on the energy of interactions and conversations. I trusted my instincts and decided this transitional period was the perfect time to become a REALTOR®.
Leaving behind the businesses we had built was both scary and liberating. But I soon found many of the people I had formed connections with through our past businesses wanted to work with me in real estate. People knew they could trust me. As a real estate professional, I take great pride in my ability to help people, act with integrity and make a true impact.
I have learned that embracing change and stepping into the unknown can lead to remarkable growth and brighter horizons. My parents were incredibly influential in giving me the confidence to chase my dreams. They always told me I could do anything I set my mind to. Through my actions, I hope to show my own children what is possible when you work hard and trust in your abilities!
What I enjoy most about real estate is the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives. Witnessing their excitement as they take a significant step forward is a fulfilling experience. Each scenario presents unique challenges and opportunities for me to make a meaningful difference as they enter this new chapter.
In my personal life, I am a proud mother to three boys – Justus, Brody and Gabriel. They keep me busy with their sports, activities and social lives. While our family time is now centered around their schedules, I cherish the moments we spend together, whether it's watching movies, having dinner or cheering them on from the sidelines during their games.
In my first year of real estate, I hit the ground running, closing 17 transactions – a huge accomplishment for me! It was incredibly rewarding and showed me what my true passions are: helping people in my community and serving as a resource to others.
